Before adding a product, let us get familiar with how product categories, tags, and brand works.
Product categories and tags work in much the same way as normal categories and tags you have when writing posts and blogs. They can be created, edited, and selected at any time.
Keywords and Tags are important words or phrases that people are likely to search for if they were looking for the product you are publishing. You can add tags/keywords in advance for suggestions.
Brands allows you to create brands for your shop, with a name, description and image assigned to each.
You can also modify brands by clicking over the name. Brands may also be re-ordered by specifying a value in the priority field.
Go to Components->Products and visit the Add Product link.
You then have a familiar interface and should immediately feel at home.
The form has different tabs:
Subscription tab is for those products where a customer must pay a subscription price to have access to the product or service and they get billed on a recurring schedule. Use this tab only if your product has a subscription e.g. annual membership, limited technical support, etc.
A tab that describes and summarizes the contents of your page for the benefit of users and search engines.
